So I know that C in CC was a few days ago but it was a great way to spend my weekend. I have to say I was kind disappointed that I would have to spend my whole weekend in the chapel singing but I really enjoyed it. There is such a team feeling around everything and excitement is contagious in that atmosphere. I have never been to a C in CC before and the ending was amazing and the last 20 minutes was my favorite. We sang this song a cappella and then O come all ye Faithful which gave me goosebumps every time I sang it because it was so powerful. If you didn’t get a chance to go to C in CC this year make sure you go next year because it is something that you need to go to.

I was so excited to go home this weekend! Friday I watched the movie UP with my family which was really great because I got to see my brother and I really miss him. We’re a really good team because my parents are divorced so we take care of each other and I miss him so much! My lovely dogs were so happy to see me. Hollis was so excited, he didn’t leave my side all weekend again and gave me a mutinous look when I left today…. Oops… Sorry buddy I love you! I went to First Avenue last night to go dancing at their saturday night club called Too Much Love. It was a lot of fun and I got to see some friends I haven’t seen in a long time. Back on the hill again… ready to start another week? I think not…trying… to…hold…on…till…break!

I really can’t believe that I’m so excited for J-Term. I was so surprised yesterday when the class I really really wanted to take was moved down from a 200 level class to a 100 level class. They took off the pre-req of Organic Chem and I’m so excited for it now. I’m going to take Forensic Science and CSI has been my favorite show for many years now so it will be very interesting what the science is behind it.

It seems like yesterday that we all moved into our respective buildings to start our lives here at GAC. I can’t even believe that it has been 2 months. Wow. I started to put my schedule together yesterday and I’m still not sure if Orgo is going to be the death of me next semester… I’ve always heard that it is a hard class… I’ll let you know. I went home last weekend and have never been so happy to be there. My own bed, in my own room, and a tv that I can view my fav taped shows on! My wonderful dog Hollis wouldn’t not stop following me around the whole weekend. Whenever I moved, so did he. I even got reprimanded by him for not going to sleep. He kept bothering me until I got into bed and then he was happy and snuggled next to me. Oh I miss my puppy! Well I hope everyone had a good weekend. See you tomorrow!

I never thought I would actually say this but… I love school! (except bio) I want to get up in the morning and go to class because they are actually interesting and because Im not forced to go there. I don’t know about you, but if I’m forced to do something I really start to hate it and don’t want to do it. This week should be pretty interesting school-wise with tests and all. I had a espanol examen today and Bio & Chem test on friday. If your in bio you know that it basically is not very much fun right now learning about glycolysis and fermentation, the Krebs cycle, ATP… I could go on and on. Not very exciting at all. So good luck to all on test this week. Hold on till friday cause next week is fall break!!!

The best day of the week is finally here and i’m so excited. I get to go home today and see my dogs and my family and friends! Sorry, i’m a bit homesick… But thats whats college is for, to make us appreciate what we have waiting for us at home. Well, at least for me it is. So my thing with reading books for school or required reading is that it is required. I mean it might be an awesome book but the fact that I HAVE TO read something makes me not want to read it. I love reading, normally I have 2 or 3 books going at once but once it becomes required it becomes a chore for me to get through. I’m only saying this to see if anyone feels the same. Thankfully, the books for FTS are pretty interesting so I can trudge through them. I started the new Dan Brown book, The Lost Symbol, last week and I am in love with it. Very thrilling, page turning, action on every page. Thats what I like in a novel. If I can get any time I also want to start the book Double Cross by James Patterson. So everyone have a great weekend and see you on Monday!

I still can’t believe that we just finished our second week here at GAC. It has gone by so fast for me with meeting me people and getting used to the days here I feel like its been a few days. Before I came here I was worried that there would not be enough to do on the weekends, but I have never been so busy. Homework seems to take a back seat to all the adventures that happen here. On friday night my friend and I saw 10 shooting stars within 2 hours. This place is so cool! My aunt has always said “No studying on Fridays or Saturdays, those are your days so keep them that way.” It seems that she is right but she is also a procrastinator like me so we’ll see how long this no studying on Friday and Saturday works. I have my first collegiate chemistry test and Friday and I am a little nervous. I feel prepared for the material but, I mean its college… I has to be hard, right? I am so excited for next weekend! I finally get to go home and see my family. I can’t wait to sleep in my own bed and not in this tiny thing 6 feet in the air. Anyways, I have a ton of studying and a required piano concert I have to attend this afternoon. So see you all tomorrow!
